November 8th 1939 - Nazi officials gather at the Bürgerbräukeller in Munich to listen to Adolf Hitler holding a speech. On that day, utterly unsuspected, an unknown carpenter by the name of Georg Elser places a bomb inside the building to eliminate Hitler. The bomb explodes, but Hitler prematurely leaves the event and therefore escapes the attack. Elsers attack is unique in the history of German resistance. It was a brave act by one individual
