September 29th 1938: The leaders of Britain, France, Italy and the German Empire gather in Munich to confer on the future of Czechoslovakias Sudetenland territories. The conference which comes to a close on the night of September 30th with the signing of the Munich Agreement was an important foreign policy success of the Nazi government. It opens the way for Adolf Hitler's annexation of the Sudetenland and the occupation of the remaining Czech territory in March 1939.
