June 11th 1985 - Largest exchange of Agents on the Glienicker bridge
Glienicker Bridge in Berlin-Zehlendorf which carries the title "Bridge of Unity" since its reconstruction in 1948. But in the days of the Cold War, it is a symbol of the division between East and West. On June 11th 1985the largest spy exchange between East and West takes place here. 23 western agents and 4 members of Eastern intelligence are exchanged and return home via the Glienicker Bridge.
